Ganjifa workshop/ exhibition

Ganjifa is a traditional form of playing cards known for their exquisite painting by artisans. The Ganjifa workshop-exhibition-sale was held at the Chitra Art Gallery during May 19-22, 2003. At present the SRC is developing a visual archive of Ganjifa cards as part of its archival documentation.

Ganjifa and Pattachitra - Workshop )

Artists from Orissa were invited to conduct a workshop. They demonstrated and taught the art form of ganjifa painting and pattachitra to thirty particpants.
Rock Art - Exhibition/Workshop/Seminar

This programme was arranged in collaboration with the IGRMS, Bhopal. Besides an exhibition on rock art, a workshop was held in which students from Visual Art College participated. A discourse was held on 14th with Prof. S. Settar in the Chair. Prof.A.Sundara, Prof.Kori Shettar, Dr. Venkatasubbaiah and Dr.Chandramouli participated.

The exhibition was inaugurated on Sept. 12th by Prof. U.R.Anant Murthy. Dr. Kishore K Basa, Director,IGRMS was present.
A Brain-storming Seminar in exploring the Cultural Heritage of South India
In collaboration with NIAS with participation of President, Member Secretary and Committee Members of IGNCA and noted scholars. The programme is being held in the month of March 2008.
