These two lectures second in the series were delivered by Birendra Kumar Bhattacharya. The first lecture brings out N.K Bose's commitment to Gandhiji's ideas. Bose presented Gandhiji as a rebel who wanted to transform himself as well as others through love and non-violent compassion. The second one brings out the convergence at the higher philosophical plane of Gandhiji and Tagore.

Birendra Kumar Bhattacharyya has been an eminent literary figure, a social activist and freedom fighter. He was the President of Assam Sahitya Sabha and Sahitya Akademi, and member of several prestigious institutions. Also the recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award and the Jńānapītha Award.
